A new malware piece targeting Bitcoin accounts is on the loose.
A phishing email attachment that involves you in a supposed bitcoin wallet recovery effort, only to drop some malicious code to take control of your wallet
It seems as if the sense of security provided by the cryptography behind Bitcoins, make people forget about basic Internet hygiene practices, such as that you shouldn't click on links provided by unknown parties. It is very unsettling that, according to the website Logrhythm , more than 1,600 users may have clicked on this dangerous specimen, putting themselves and others at risk.
So remember, beware of any Bitcoin related emails, particularly those with attachments.
